Full-time 30-40 hrs/week
Permanent, Hourly, Benefited position
Monday-Friday 8am- 4:30pm, no on-call required.
Position Summary:
A registered nurse who specializes in assisting patients and families during their surgical journey that is consistent and personalized. will insure patients are prepared for surgery and have follow up care.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Guide and support patients through the preoperative and post operative process.
- Ensure patients are well prepared for surgery and receive appropriate follow up care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families that is case specific and personalized.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care throughout the surgical journey.
- Demonstrate expertise in clinical practice, patient education, patient management, and patient advocation.
Education and qualifications:
- Requires an active RN license; an LPN may be considered.
- Must be BLS, ACLS and PALS certified at a minimum.
- Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience, preferably in surgery, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Poses excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Organization and attention to detail a must.
- Good phone etiquette and computer documentation necessary.
Experience:
- Two years nursing experience preferred.
- On the job training for the right candidate.
