Chadron Community Hospital Emergency Room is available 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. The Emergency Entrance is on the South Side of the building. The Emergency Room is staffed by RNs, as well as Physician Assistants, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, and Medical Doctors who are available on call. Diagnostic services such as lab and X-Ray are available.

Chadron Community Hospital Emergency Room is designated as a Basic Level Trauma Center by the Nebraska Statewide Trauma System. RNs who work in the Emergency Room are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Emergency Nurse Pediatric Curriculum.

Any individual coming to the Emergency Room will receive an appropriate medical screening examination and stabilizing treatment as medically indicated regardless of race, creed, sex, national origin, religion or source of payment for care.

To provide excellence in healthcare we know our team members are our most valuable assets.  Training and education is the best investment we can make to our community, ensuring the highest quality healthcare for our patients.

Chadron Community Hospital participates in local, regional and statewide emergency preparedness planning and training.  Partners include Panhandle Public Health District, Panhandle Regional Medical Response System and Region 23 Emergency Management.  Staff members are trained on hire and annually to respond to emergencies such as medical emergencies, weather related disasters, internal and external disasters.

Chadron Community Hospital and Health Services is located in the scenic Northern Panhandle of Western Nebraska. This vibrant community boasts a state college, excellent outdoor activities and is a gateway to the Black Hills. The Pine Ridge serves as a beautiful backdrop to this closely knit community. Nine miles to the south of Chadron is Nebraska's oldest state park. At an elevation of nearly 5000ft, Chadron State Park lies in the heart of the Nebraska National Forest and is covered in ponderosa pines.

With a population of 5,489, Chadron is a community bustling with opportunity and friendly faces. This is an excellent place to relax and take in the fresh air which is ideal for our patients and visitors. The area is also known for its Old West history and distinctive landscape. No matter what occasion brings you to the community, you are sure to discover that Chadron is a city bursting with culture and life.
