CCH&HS Announces Completion of Leadership Team with New VP Roles

Chadron Community Hospital & Health Services is pleased to announce the latest developments in our leadership team. With the recent appointments, we have officially filled all Vice President roles, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to provide top-tier healthcare to the Chadron community.

Jennifer Brown – Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Brown has been with Chadron Community Hospital as CFO for over seven years. Recently awarded the 2024 Caring Kind Award, she continues to play an essential role in the hospital's financial health and operational strategy. "I am very excited to be part of the team that Sean (interim CEO) has helped us build during his time here,” she said. “I believe we have a more balanced approach to serving the needs of our staff, patients, and community, and I look forward to being part of this positive change."

Aside from Jennifer Brown, who has been a valued member of Chadron Community Hospital for over seven years, the following individuals have taken on vital leadership positions within the organization:

Brenda Rhembrandt, R.N. – Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) & Vice President of Patient Care Services

With 23 years at Chadron Community Hospital & Health Services, Brenda has held various roles including CNA, Trauma Nurse Coordinator, Nurse Manager, and recently Interim Clinical Leader. Her leadership contributed to the hospital receiving the Five-Star Award from CMS in 2024. She co-founded Circle of Light, a local organization that supports cancer patients through grants from Susan G. Komen and community contributions. In recognition of her dedication, she was named the 2023 Caring Kind Employee.

Brenda’s clinical experience spans emergency care, OB, medical/surgical, and hospice. She holds a BSN from UNMC and has been certified in Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy since 2007. Her vision focuses on providing exceptional care, fostering a culture of self-care and inclusiveness, and growing Chadron’s medical services. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities with her family and volunteers with St. Patrick’s Parish and Dawes County 4-H.

Dan Anderson – Vice President of Human Resources & Support Services

Dan Anderson serves as the VP of HR and Support Services at Chadron Community Hospital, where he has contributed for 14 years, following a previous role as IT Director.  A 2016 graduate of the Nebraska Hospital Association Leadership Institute and the 2012 Caring Kind award winner. A graduate of Chadron State College with a Bachelor of Science in Physics, Dan grew up in Chadron and now resides in Hay Springs, NE, where he built his own home in the countryside seven years ago. An outdoor enthusiast, Dan enjoys golfing, bowling, fishing, and hunting, often accompanied by his golden retriever. His background in IT provides a unique perspective on enhancing organizational operations and improving team dynamics, with a focus on efficiency and elevating the ‘people’ aspect of the facility.

Sydney Holmes, BSN, MBA – Vice President of Ancillary Services

Joining us in September, Holmes brings an impressive background in nursing and healthcare operations. A former student of Chadron State College, Holmes previously worked at Chadron Community Hospital as a CNA while completing her studies. She later left Chadron to complete her nursing degree and has since served as a regional director of operations, overseeing 24 clinics across Nebraska, Kansas, and Colorado. “My passion has always been in rural healthcare and keeping healthcare services available locally. Our community hospitals are a lifeline for fostering and growing healthy communities”, said Holmes. She and her family are relocating from Cheyenne, Wyoming, and are excited to become a part of the Chadron community.

With these key roles now filled, Chadron Community Hospital & Health Services is well-positioned to continue our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare. Additionally, the search for a permanent CEO is underway. Sean Wolfe continues to serve as our interim CEO and has played a pivotal role in driving the direction and development of our new executive team. His leadership has been instrumental in building a more balanced approach to serving the needs of our staff, patients, and community. The executive team is committed to finding a permanent leader who embodies the values and vision necessary to guide the hospital into its next chapter of growth and success.
