Resignation of Nathan Hough, CEO;
Jennifer Brown Appointed Interim CEO

Chadron, NE – Feb 9, 2024 – Chadron Community Hospital & Health Services has announced that its Board of Trustees has accepted the resignation of Nathan Hough as CEO, effective February 16, 2024. The board has appointed Jennifer Brown, CFO, as interim CEO after his departure. Jennifer has served as the CFO at Chadron Community Hospital since April of 2017.  The board will begin a search for a permanent CEO shortly.

Nathan Hough is leaving to pursue a new opportunity closer to family. Mr. Hough stated, “I want to thank everyone that has helped to make Chadron Community Hospital & Health Services a top critical access hospital. It has been a great honor to work with our patients, community, Board, and team over the past three years. I look forward to closely following the future success of Chadron Community Hospital & Health Services and wish the Board, and the entire team, all the best.”

Over the three years as CEO of Chadron Community Hospital & Health Services, Mr. Hough achieved higher patient satisfaction scores which has led to multiple awards, including Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the nation, and was behind the addition of many new providers and services.
