Chadron Hospital's First Annual Golf Tournament Raises $18,860 for Lifesaving Emergency Medical Equipment
Community businesses, sponsors, and golfers unite to strengthen emergency medical services across the region.
CHADRON, Neb. — Chadron Hospital is celebrating the success of its inaugural golf tournament, which raised $18,860 to support the purchase of lifesaving emergency medical equipment for the hospital's ambulance services.
Held at Ridgeview Country Club in Chadron, the 1st Annual Golf Tournament brought together local businesses, community members, and golf enthusiasts for a day of friendly competition, fundraising, and community support.
Proceeds from the tournament will help fund a LUCAS Chest Compression System and LIFEPAK monitor, two critical pieces of equipment that enhance the ability of emergency medical personnel to respond to life-threatening situations.
The LUCAS Chest Compression System delivers consistent mechanical chest compressions during cardiac emergencies, allowing emergency responders to focus on other critical aspects of patient care. The LIFEPAK monitor provides advanced cardiac monitoring and defibrillation capabilities, helping emergency medical teams assess and treat patients experiencing life-threatening conditions.
"Seeing our community come together to support this tournament has been incredible," said Misty Lemmon of Chadron Hospital. "Every sponsorship, donation, and team registration represents an investment in the health and safety of our neighbors. Raising $18,860 during our very first tournament is something our entire community can be proud of, and we are so grateful to everyone who helped make it possible."
The tournament featured team competitions, pin prizes, and a special "Putt for a Prize" activity, providing participants with opportunities to enjoy a day on the golf course while contributing to a meaningful cause.
The event's success was made possible through the generosity of local and regional businesses, whose sponsorships and donations helped turn the inaugural tournament into a meaningful investment in rural emergency healthcare.
