Our sports medicine program remains active within the community and surrounding region.  We routinely provide coverage of high school sports practices and events.  Evaluation and treatment of sports-related injuries are also performed in the clinic.  In addition, our staff works with Chadron State College when needed to help with the rehabilitation of injured athletes.  We routinely provide "sports medicine clinics" in which competitive or recreational athletes within the region can have a sports-related consultation at no cost.  Details pertaining to our "sports medicine clinic" can be obtained by contacting our office at 308.432.0232.

Karen Stone, LAT, ATC

Karen graduated from Colorado Mesa University in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in athletic training. She came to Chadron to be the graduate assistant athletic trainer while she earned a master's degree from Chadron State College. For those two years, she traveled with CSC's football team and women's basketball team to assist with keeping their athletes healthy and ready to play. Now, she works with area high schools and their athletes to keep them playing when she's not in the rehabilitation clinic.  Growing up in Idaho, her time was spent going to rodeos, volleyball games, and working on her family's small ranch. This gave her the love of sports that encouraged her to pursue being an athletic trainer. She has been a board certified athletic trainer and licensed in Nebraska since 2017.
