Non-benefited position, flexible schedule, Monday-Friday. 

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Assistant Public Relations and Marketing position will be responsible for working alongside our current Public Relations and Marketing Director and helping them in building and maintaining a positive image of the organization. This position will play a strong role in establishing and maintaining relationships with consumer, community, employee, and public interest groups by helping with handling press releases and other media communications, responding to requests for information, placing ads, being a resource and example for staff in the correct way of communicating with the public.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of consumer marketing.
  • An ability to work on big strategy plans as well as day-to-day tasks.
  • Ability to think both creatively and strategically.
  • Ability to run PR campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet objectives

RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with consumer, community, employee, and interest groups.
  • Play a potential role in the informational development and release of every publicly available document, program, and service.
  • Writing press releases and other media communications to promote organization.
  • Helping plan the development of programs to maintain favorable public views of the organization's goals and accomplishments.
  • Studying the organization's objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence positive public opinion and promote services.
  • Preparing and editing organizational publications, including employee newsletters or stockholders' reports, for internal and external audiences.
  • Help with updating and maintaining our Website/Facebook content and as well as other publicly viewed items.
  • Conferring with managers to identify items, interests and providing design on publications for promotion of services.
  • Research approved promotional items, maintain promotional materials and inventory.
  • Assist with internal communication and employee satisfaction programs.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in cost effective educational opportunities and staying current with marketing trends. 
  • May escort patients who need directional help to service locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
