Job Summary:
The Vice President Patient Care will facilitate and direct the hospital's operational activities of delivering cost-effective, high-quality services. They have the direct responsibility, authority, and accountability for the supervision of the following departments:
- Nursing: Medical/Surgical/Skilled, Obstetrics, Nursery, Emergency Department, Staff Training and Education, Wound Care, Dietitian and Diabetic Education, Chronic Care, Infection Control, Employee Health, and Clinical Documentation Improvement/Utilization Review
- Pharmacy
- Surgical Services
- Outpatient IV Therapy & Chemo
- Social Services
- Respiratory Therapy
- Director of Quality
- Dialysis
The Vice President of Patient Care has the oversight responsibility for all licensed nursing staff as outlined in Nebraska State Licensing Regulations, including nursing staff at Prairie Pines Lodge, Home Health and Hospice, and any other department within the Hospital.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure by the State of Nebraska as a Registered Nurse without restrictions.
- BSN required, MSN preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of five years prior experience in a hospital setting.
- Minimum of two years in a management role.
